Product Description

The Polovtsian Dances, or Polovetsian Dances form an exotic scene at the end of act 2 of Alexander Borodin's opera Prince Igor. The work remained unfinished when the composer died in 1887, although he had worked on it for more than a decade. A performing version was prepared by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov and Alexander Glazunov.

In this arrangement for string quartet (Violin I, Violin II, Viola, Cello) we have a selections of the most famous dances: 1) Introduction, 2) Gliding Dance of the Maidens, 3) Wild Dance of the Men, 4) General Dance.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
