"Blimey, I'm Slimy (Over You)" is from the musical "Love Birds." The show's impresario, Armitage Shanks (who is in fact the Loch Ness Monster) dreams of writing at least one hit song during his lifetime. Sadly though, his dream seems to elude him. Indeed, this particular song is widely thought to have been the downfall of his, dubious at best, songwriting career. A very personal song to Armitage, it chronicles his own, awkward adolescence, another time when life hadnt been fair. Like the character singing the song, Armitage would spot a young lady plesiosaur whom he thought attractive, approach her to speak; then suddenly, and quite embarrassingly, break out in a lather of green, slime and ooze. Of course such a thing would undermine anyones self confidence.
This arrangement is in D Major and is best suited for a Baritone.
