Product Description

Papa Joe Blues is a work for beginning band in their first year. The song is a tribute to Joe Grasso. Mr. Grasso was the band director at Newtown High School in Connecticut from 1960 to 1992 and built one of the strongest programs in the country. This song features a fragment from the NHS fight song and the 1812 Overture. It is a minor blues. Sections could be opened up for soloing and improvising. Proceeds from the sale support the Joe Grasso scholarship fund.
