String Quartet No. 1: VESPERS was composed between 2013 and 2016, and premiered by the Samford String Quartet in February 2016. Since then, the work has been performed numerous times at Auburn University, the Alabama School of Fine Arts, Samford University, and Carnegie Halls Weill Recital Hall. Additionally, VESPERS has been featured on radio broadcasts and appeared on two studio recordings: the Amernet Quartets double album, _Alabama (MSR Classics, 2020) and the Samford String Quartets 2019 independent release, Sacred Music for String Quartet.
