Product Description

The band director of the Williamson County Community Band will start out on a warm up where he divides the band into three section to do a scale round. This involves Ascending and descending which creates an interesting harmony as well as warming of the chops. This scale is synthetic in nature and is called the Neapolitan Lydian. Imagine the scale is stretched out on a 180° where 90° is the zenith. Once a voice (Vox) has reached that zenith and descends, notice the two angles which are supplementary angles (whose sum equals 180°). The degrees listed above the notes are based on the concept found in https://www.noteflight.com/marketplace/1avadoxR8tmLGLdIp5O4rA/musical-angles The red indicates a major chord. Blue indicates minor. Magenta indicates harmony/consonance while khaki green indicates dissonance. The vertical sum of the degrees in relation to the harmony produced in each measure also has interesting results.
