This joyful a cappella anthem for 4-part SATB choir is suitable for concert performance or worship settings during the Christmas season. Based on Luke 2:14 (KJV), it highlights the word "Gloria" and the phrase "Glory to God in the highest." The anthem begins with a lively section incorporating syncopation and changing meters. The contrasting middle section, based on the text "And on earth peace, good will toward men," is slower and legato. A section follows in which the word "Gloria" is repeated on a 3-note motive, with each section of the choir singing it on a different beat for a dovetailed effect. The opening theme returns at the end, with layering and rhythmic independence between parts. The score includes a piano reduction for rehearsal purposes. Commissioned and premiered in 2014 by the Carroll College Choirs in Helena, Montana.
