Product Description
The wonderful song recorded by Sergio Mendes and released on the album 'Look Around' in 1967. I have transcribed and arranged to try and get as close to the original to perform this in November with Jazz band and String Orchestra. In looking to buy an arrangement close to the subtle feel and rhythms along with a full arrangement, I couldn't find one which has correct rhythmic notation, detail and vocal arrangements that reflect the rubato and and syncopated placement of the masterful vocals in the original. Sibelius doesn't playback vocals in a humanistic way and I encountered some issues using the Glissando function in the strings which run up to a trill note, although the trills don't playback they are present in the scores along with the use of Harmonics in some sections. In addition, although legato the playback isn't as smooth in the string sections even when messing with the parameters, it might be after adding the bowings. It has been a career goal to transcribe these for a performance and for a full ensemble to recreate the magic of Brazil 66.
