In February of 2023 my daughter passed away. It was sudden and without warning. She died of an undiscovered incurable genetic disorder. She was almost 2 and half years old. Excruciating pain does not begin to describe what my wife and I have and are experiencing. It may very well be the worst kind of emotional pain a human can experience. However, I did not want to let her be forgotten. She was the most precious being in my life. She had the most profound affect on my life and I would like her memory to live on even beyond my lifetime. The only way that I personally could honor my daughter was through music. I composed an album's worth of music with each song either evoking a feeling of her life and its effect on the world, or a characteristic of her personality that I cherish. This piece is titled "Falling" because for me it represents falling in love with being a parent as well as my life falling apart after our loss. I would like to thank my wife Amy. She is the nicest person I know. I would like to thank my father who not only has been a great support during our tragedy, but also for building the bass amp (it's called the Toaster Oven) that I used to record my bass.
