The representative of a piece in natural minor for the No Flats Or Sharps Key Signature Series of Cello Choir À La Mode, 40 Days And Nights is a flowing, lilting piece in 6/8. Reflective of the rest of the series, 40 Days And Nights is a three-part piece for cello trio to cello choir. The cello 3 part does not require any use of second finger, but provides good practice in reading notes on the C and G strings. The cello 2 part goes up to fourth position. The cello 1 part goes into treble clef and thumb position.
