Ollie the Alligator is an imaginative narrated musical story with something for all ages. The music begins with Ollie's jazzy theme. Then we enter the bayou with the clarinet in a dark, bluesy line with unexpected turns. When Mabel arrives on scene, her theme both complements and intertwines with Ollie's in a waltz. Beneath it all, walking bass lines create a sense of being stalked. It's a little cartoon creepy. You might wanna watch your step.
