Product Description

I've always been amazed that this song doesn't get played more by middle and high school ensembles. Paul Mccartney's holiday anthem, "Wonderful Christmastime," has an easy to grasp melody over top of a simple, yet interesting chordal accompaniment. It's the perfect tune for your intermediate level players, as it will challenge them just enough to keep them engaged, but not so much that they get discouraged. More advanced players will find the notes higher on the fretboard in the "synth" part to be a fun challenge, while your beginner players could take over the bass part, which only requires 6 notes! You can even recruit a few percussionists from your school's band program to play the sleigh bells and the simple drum part.

To make things as accessible as possible to all students, all parts come with optional TAB notation. Program this as the opener for your next winter concert, but don't be surprised if the audience turns it into a singalong!
