Korean Artsong "Yeonji-dong Hanok" For Soprano and Piano.

For anyone, Hometown fills the heart with longing. Especially when you feel Hometown in a foreign country, it is even more so. After leaving Korea for 40 years, this poet, looking at a dilapidated house in Yeonji-dong, Ganghwa-do, where she visited her homeland, thought that she herself was becoming more like that house over time, and expressed this in a poem. The resentment over the long years spent in a foreign country makes the heart ache even more. As for the melody, only the 5 notes of Do-Re-Mi-Sol-La were used. It was premiered on May 9, 2023 at the Daegu Concert House Chamber Hall by soprano Hye-seon Ma and piano Yoon-young Jang.

My childhood home, like a hometown of memories
