I arranged the first movement (Allegro) of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozarts Horn Concerto No. 3 in E-flat Major, K. 447 for a brass ensemble consisting of two trumpets, one horn, three trombones, two euphoniums, and two tubas. My goal was to preserve the elegance and energy of Mozarts original composition while reimagining the orchestral accompaniment for the rich, resonant sound of this brass ensemble, with the solo horn remaining the focal point.

I kept the piece in its original key of E-flat major to maintain the solo horns warm, lyrical tone and its idiomatic range, which shines in Mozarts writing. The solo horn part is largely unchanged, retaining its graceful melodies, florid passages, and cadenza opportunities to highlight the soloists virtuosity and expressiveness. I made minor adjustments to some of the more intricate ornaments to ensure they sit comfortably on modern horns, while keeping the classical spirit intact.
