Jung-A Lee composed this setting for her father who loves the hymn, "I Know Not Why God's Wondrous Grace." Since she lives in the US, her family meets over Zoom to keep in touch each other face to face. For special occasions such as the New Year's Eve, Thanksgiving Day, or her father's birthday they usually have family services remotely. Over the years "I Know Not Why God's Wondrous Grace" has been a family's favorite to sing together. The opening line, "I know not why God's wondrouns grace to me He hath made known," has always been meaningful to her, as it reminds her of His abundant and unending love toward us in all circumstances.

This work was premiered at Chongkyo Methodist Church in Seoul, South Korea in July 2024.
