This is the third in my set of three moderately contemporary takes, for organ manuals, on the Renaissance-era Pavane and Galliard dance pairing. The first movement is a gentle, quiet prelude in common time while the second movement is very lively in a somewhat jagged 7/8 time that provides a slight "off-beat" aspect to the expected triple meter of the traditional galliard.
