This is the song as written and performed by Ted Sandquist in his original 1970s recording. It was first released on a cassette album "Higher Up and Further In," and then recorded on the LP "Courts of the King." Don Moen has more recently recorded this, fairly faithful to the original.
This song has special meaning to me as I attended Ted's church in the 1970s. At times Ted played this in worship, often with Phil Keaggy accompanying on guitar and vocals, and we would all sing along in worship.
Ted would be quick to tell you that this is not any old set of worship lyrics, but the WORD of GOD as written by David in Psalm 36:5-7. Oh, that we would worship to His Word in our modern services(!).
