Product Description

Manhã de Carnaval is a song composed by Brazilian composer Luiz BonfÔ with the lyrics by AntÓnio Maria. This piece got very famous mainly after appearing as principal theme in the 1959 Portuguese-language film Orfeu Negro by French director Marcel Camus, no wonder it became one of the first Bossa Nova compositions to gain popularity outside Brazil and has become a jazz standard in the U.S.

This arrangement for cello quartet was written in 2015 and reedited in 2025.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
