Product Description

Richard Dering (1580-1630) - Ave Virgo Gloriosa a 5

A 5-voices motet to the Virgin Mary by Richard Dering, an English late Renaissance composer who - due to his catholic faith - lived most of his life in Brussels, where he got to know Bull and Philips and cleverly mixed their style with the Italian style he had learned in Venice, Florence, and Rome.

Transcription by Guido Menestrina, available in modern clefs.
