The song's fun syncopated guitar riffs and funky bass lines, combined with its psychedelic lyrics about genies and magic wishes, made the song an immediate hit with the era's counterculture set. It didn't take long for it to reach number 3 on the Billboard charts and become one of the band's most-played songs on the radio; it was even incorporated into the Star Trek universe when the characters were running test flights. Although a radio edit was released, the album version of this song remains the most popular to this day, and it's that version that serves as the basis for this Cellobat chart!
