The course includes concept sheets of explanations for Grade 1 and Grade 2 of the major music theory examination bodies around the world. These note and rest values, direction of stems, dotted notes, simple time signatures, compound time signatures, tuplets, anacrusis, accents in words, accidentals, leger lines, rhymes for note names, tones and semitones, scales, scale degree numbers and technical name, semitones in major and harmonic minor scales, key signatures, working out the key of a melody, transposition, intervals, tonic triads and their positions, form, terms and definitions.
The worksheets are divided into lessons with links to explanation videos and practise questions. The worksheets also include an exercise in each grade to support and guide critical listening and analysis of how the different elements of music have been used within a composition.
