Telemanns Sonata in F Major is typical of music from the late Italian Baroque Period. The movement which is most commonly performed and published is this Vivace piece. Where possible, the standard Basso Continuo line has been retained as a bass part but has been modified to suit the range and characteristics of different instruments. Although commonly played on Flute, these arrangements provide an opportunity for a wider range of performers and, similarly, adjustments can be made to the articulation staccato and tenuto where appropriate.
