Product Description

Johann Strauss composed his Kuss Walzer (Kiss Waltz) based on motifs of the operetta Der lustige Krieg (The Merry War). It was written in 1881 and premiered, directed by his brother Eduard at a court ball in Vienna on 10 January 1882. The arrangement is kept in the original key of the composition for symphony orchestra and was commissioned and first time performed by Salzburg Wind Philharmonic conducted by Hansjoerg Angerer at their "Three Kings' Concert" on 6 January 2025 at the "Grosses Festspielhaus" (Large Festival Hall) in Salzburg, Austria. A live recording of this concert is available at https://www.salzburg-windphilharmonic.at/de/happy-birthday-johann-strauss/ .
