Product Description

"3 Short Pieces for Bb Clarinet" is an arrangement of another of my works, "3 Short Pieces for Alto Clarinet," which was my first venture into the world of instrumental solos with piano accompaniment. I chose the Alto Clarinet for three reasons: first, because there are far too few solos written for the instrument. Second, because I played it back in college at the University of Texas at Austin and enjoyed it thoroughly. And, finally, because the inspiration simply struck me to do it. There's not a whole lot to mention on this work. Just make sure you don't short-change the fermatas, and for the Bb Clarinet, try and be as lyrical as possible in the second movement without going overboard. Thank you for playing!
