Product Description

How did the universe go from chaos to structure which allowed life to develop? I dont pretend to be able to answer that question, but here is a musical attempt of recounting the story of chaos slowly (with many dead-ends) developing into the incredibly complex, and ultimately beautiful, structure of life. The music itself has elements of chaos and dissonance, finally ending with the emergence of life, signified by the hymn For the Beauty of the Earth along with echoes of the Big Bang still found in the background of cosmic radiation.
Scored for woodwinds in pairs, two F horns, two Bb trumpets, timpani, and strings.
