Description: This piano arrangement is inspired by the melody of August Daniel von Binzer's song Wir hatten gebauet ein stattliches Haus, which was made famous by Johannes Brahms, and the melody Wiegenlied (Lullaby) Op. 49, No. 4 by Brahms. It is further inspired by Bach 's Sinfonia in A Major. At the return of von Binzer's melody, part of the sinfonia can be heard in the accompaniment to bring the piece to a festive finale.

The melody by von Binzer was set to a Chinese poem (The Song for the child that Travel Afar) Though the original music by von Binzer has nothing to do with mothers, I arranged this piano solo to celebrate Mothers Day.
