Product Description

This is a vocal arrangement for one or more singers to perform in unison, accompanied by a piano, featuring the American anthem "The Star-Spangled Banner." Its melody is based on a popular British song composed by John Stafford Smith (1750-1836), a British composer. The lyrics, written by American lawyer Francis Scott Key (1779-1843), are a poem composed in 1814. The combination of a British melody with Key's poem resulted in "The Star-Spangled Banner," which quickly became a patriotic song in the United States.

The arrangement presented here includes the four stanzas of Key's poem. The key is B major and chords are also included.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
