LO, HOW A ROSE ERE BLOOMING for two octaves of handbells or chimes is based on the original tune to Es Ist Ein Ros by Michael Praetorius. This version incorporates the use of four-four measures and six-four measures with the quarter note always getting one beat. At the printed tempo the piece runs about two and half minutes. The difficulty level is about 2 . This arrangement is suitable for worship services.
