This Early Advanced piano solo is a showstopper that covers the gamut of the piano. It begins with an expressive cadenza-like introduction, leading to a melancholic "A" section in A minor with seamless changing meters such as 5/4, 4/4, and 3/4 that flow smoothly from one meter to another. The "A" section has a brief tonicization in E-flat major through the use of a Neapolitan chord at measure 12 followed by an exuberant Maestoso "B" section in G minor at measure 22. After this rhythmically upbeat section, the Spanish Rhapsody tapers off through a short codetta and ends with pianissimo.
