Product Description

I've taken the old "Dies Irae" chant and adapted it for a large concert band to play. I took inspiration from a lot of epic music I've heard and interspersed some dramatic patterns between the various statements of the melody. It opens up with a slow trumpet solo to be played ad libitum over a low drone in the low brass, only to then pick up speed and intensity.
In the middle, the next statement is foreshadowed by a clarinet choir, then the low brass take the melody before finishing out the chant with the drones, and the main melody shared across the various instruments before finishing with the original statement making an appearance in the solo trumpet at the end again.
