Product Description

"My Cherie Amour" is a 1969 song by Motown singer-songwriter Stevie Wonder. The song reached number four on the Billboard pop chart in August, making it Wonder's eighth top ten hit. The song was co-written by Wonder, Sylvia Moy and Henry Cosby; Cosby also served as the song's producer. At the end of 1969, the song was in 32nd position for the year. The core of the song, originally titled "Oh, My Marsha" (or Marcia), was written in an hour in 1966 about a girlfriend of Wonder's at the Michigan School for the Blind in Lansing, Michigan. Tamla Records founder Berry Gordy heard the song and thought it could be improved with further development. Motown songwriters Henry Cosby and Sylvia Moy collaborated on the song with Wonder; Moy came up with the intriguing title, a combination of English and French in a manner reminiscent of the Beatles' "Michelle", which was a huge hit in 1966. My Cherie Amour arranged in the following formation: INSTRUMENTATION 1 - Driver 2 - Flute 1 3 - Violin 1 4 - Cello 1 5 - Trumpet in C 6 - Rain stick 7 - Wind chime 8 - Bongos 9 - Congas 10 - Battery 11 - Piano (Arranged by WESLEY MOURA)
