This is my arrangement of the iconic 'Take Me On' by A-Ha. As famous for its pencil sketch animation that was years ahead of its time as for the beautifully catchy tune itself. Hard to believe it's 40 years old as it still sounds so modern. I have taken it through the keys of A, Bb and C major and supplied it with an introduction that is something of a miniature prelude.
I have done it in something of a Ragtime style which seems to gel well with the rhythms of the original. For people with smaller hands the 10ths I have notated can be rolled or replaced with octaves or even single bass notes without losing the feel.
I don't include fingering, dynamics or pedal markings and prefer to leave these to the discretion of the individual pianist and to not overcomplicate the presentation of the music. I do include chord symbols which I always find helpful in learning and remembering a tune.
I hope you enjoy learning this tune as much as I enjoyed arranging it.
