Text:
In the place Gethsemane Jesus felt all pain.
Though bent low in agony love would be retained.
As He bled from ev'ry pore, He soon approached sure death.
Though His mortal life would end, He gave men living breath.
Carrying the wooden cross Jesus stumbled there,
All so He could offer us consecrated care.
On the cross at Calvary amid the jeering crowd,
Jesus' breath would end that day yet life would be allowed.
Laid down in a borrowed tomb, mockers looking on,
No one knew He'd rise again on that Sabbath dawn.
Resurrected in God's sight pure Jesus lived once more.
He fulfillled the Father's will; He opened heaven's door.
Chorus:
He lives! He lives again! He's risen from the dead!
Though our Though our Savior died that day,
He rose to live instead. He rose to live again!
