Product Description

A stirring, sacred choral composition with music by Kevin G. Pace and text by Kim L. Jensen. Revised 2025. The text reflects the sacred narrative of Christs final days, capturing both the solemnity of the Last Supper and the anguish of His crucifixion. With vivid imagery, it moves from the quiet, reverent gathering of the disciples to the chaos of Gethsemane and the brutal finality of Golgotha. Yet, the darkness gives way to hope as the lyrics proclaim the miracle of the Resurrection and Christs triumph over death. The recurring call to remember Him in the chorus serves as both a reverent plea and a personal invitationto honor His sacrifice and follow in His footsteps. Its a moving testament of faith, redemption, and devotion to the Savior who gave everything.

Text:
The streets were dark, the men were hushed who gathered 'round the Lord,
The bread was broken, the wine was sipped as they listened to his word,
The disciples, although witnesses had yet to see the yet to see the price,
That soon thereafter would be paid through their Lord's sacrifice.

The quiet of the garden soon replaced by fear and flight,
The solitude of breaking bread forgotten for that night,
The horrors of Golgotha; Oh, the shouts, the cross, the nails,
The body placed within the tomb, the silenced women's wails

But the tomb; it could not hold Him! Triumphantly He came,
He offers to redeem us; His mercy we may claim.
We humbly now before Him bow; as witnesses we call
On Jesus, our dear Lord and God, the Savior of us all.

Chorus:
His sacrifice is for all of us; His path the only way,
He overcame both death and hell; the terrors of the grave.
O remember Him, remember Him, the sacred emblems call,
O remember Him, then follow Him; our Lord who gave us all.
