Written April 12, 2025 - This is an original piano composition in an abstract minimalist style containing only perfect fifths throughout. The left hand steadily plays only two notes, middle C and the G above while the right hand above and below plays melodic material with only fifths. There is only one moment in the middle where the right hand plays a C and a G as well. Because of the multitude of accidentals there are no "courtesy" accidentals with the accidentals properly cancelling out at the end of each measure. James Michael Stevens is prolific composer residing in Nashville, TN.
