Product Description

M People is an English dance music band that formed in 1990. The name of the band is taken from the first letter of the first name of musician Mike Pickering, who formed the group. In December 2016, Billboard magazine ranked them as the 83rd most successful dance act of all time an as of 2021, M People have sold over 11 million records worldwide. 'Moving on Up', fronted by vocalist Heather Small, comes from their second album 'Elegant Slumming' (1993) and proved to be their biggest hit worldwide, getting to number one in the US and Canada and charting very well across Europe. In 2011, Australian music channel Max included "Moving On Up" in their list of the "1000 Greatest Songs of All Time". This arrangement for concert band keeps the style of the original and allows your star alto sax player two opportunities to solo alongside the drums. Get your next concert off to a great start with this instant dance hit! Arranged as part of an ongoing project to bring more British music into the worldwide repertoire #ArrangeMeGoals2025
