A Rivendell String Quartet Arrangement - The Contest & Recital Series

This wonderful example of the Baroque style of fugal writing is taken from the Eight Short Preludes and Fugues (BMV 553-560), long attributed to Johann Sebastian Bach. The fifth in the series, it was originally in the key of g minor.

This quartet would be a great introduction to Baroque contrapuntal writing style, in either Recital or Contest settings.
