This is an accessible but beautiful arrangement of Ingrid Michaelson's "Turn to Stone." The solo is a simple vehicle for the powerful and haunting lyric, requiring a narrow range with little to no ornamentation. Including the solo, the voicing reaches up to 9 parts, but this arrangment is especially effective with 12+ voices to smoothly cover stagger-breathing sections. The very approachable but effective arpeggios simplify the original piano accompaniment for voices while maintaining forward motion. You won't be able to help swaying along.
