Product Description

A Rivendell String Quartet Arrangement - The Pop Standards Series

Perfidia (Spanish for "perfidy," meaning faithlessness or betrayal) was written in 1939 by the Mexican composer-marimbist Alberto Dominguez (1906-1975). This pop standard has been recorded by over 60 artists, beginning with the big bands of Xavier Cugat, Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, and Benny Goodman, with the Ventures scoring a big hit with their 1960 soft-rock version. And if you're a movie buff, you'll recognize Perfidia as the tune being played when Humphrey Bogart dances with Ingrid Bergman in the Paris flashback scenes in Casablanca.

A must have for receptions or parties!
