Product Description

Concert band version of the the original Shaker tune - "Simple Gifts". The song is presented in an unconventional style using augmentation and diminution along with threading in off-centered chords to yield various tempos and off-centered moods in contrast to the conventional spirited more common presentation of Simple Gifts. It orchestrated as a full concert band, but tempo changes are abrupt and change often making it a little more difficult for the average high school band and even for the director to conduct.
