Waldmeister (Woodruff) is an operetta by Johann Strauss. It premierd on 4 December 1895 at the Theater an der Wien in Vienna. The operetta is a love story with errors and confusion. A woodruff punch plays a crucial role on the way to the happy ending. The arrangement is kept in the original key of the composition for symphony orchestra and was commissioned and first time performed by Mozarteum Wind Philharmonic Salzburg conducted by Hansjoerg Angerer at their "New Year's Concert" on 6 January 2008 at the Great Hall of the Mozarteum Foundation in Salzburg, Austria.
