Product Description

LIBERTY is a solo work by Steve Vai, released as the opening track on his 1990 album Passion and Warfare. This arrangement features a solo guitarist with concert band, and is sure to melt faces in the crowd. You'll definitely need a bass player and drum set player for this one, and a piano player will be a nice addition. The solo part is definitely not for the faint-hearted guitar player, but the band accompaniment isn't technically very challenging. For the true experience, grab this one and also the companion arrangement of Vai's LOTUS FEET, also available here.

NOTE: this arrangement is in the same key as Vai's recording (E Major), which isn't always a forgiving key for concert bands. We're not about to go changing the key on your guitar soloist after (s)he has put in all that work, so some of the transposing instruments have been written in a "key-less" format, just showing accidentals.

PRINTING NOTE
The parts are formatted for standard 8.5x11 (letter) paper. The score is formatted for 9x12; to print score on letter-sized paper, reduce to 88%. To print on tabloid paper (11x17), print at 129%.
