Product Description

A beautiful, sacred hymn. Music composed by Kevin G. Pace with text by Mary Ann W. Snowball. This hymn a powerful and sacred reflection on the story from the New Testament where Jesus heals ten lepers, yet only one returns to express gratitude. The music, tender and reverent, flows with an ethereal beauty, perfectly complementing the heartfelt words that speak of faith, healing, and thankfulness. The lyrics poignantly capture the moment of recognition and the depth of gratitude shown by the solitary leper, offering a moving reminder of the importance of returning to give thanks for the blessings we receive. The hymn's gentle melody and profound message invite worshipers into a place of reflection and worship.

Text:
1. As Jesus passed a village, ten lepers caught His eye.
Asking for pure healing was their open cry.
Requird by current law then, He said to see the priests.
All ten lepers listened, each with faith increased.

2. When walking they found healing, but one of them turned back;
With his voice in glory, he retraced his tracks.
Then falling on his face there, he gave all thanks to God;
At the feet of Jesus, he showed gracious laud.

Chorus #1
Were there not ten lepers cleansed? Jesus looked around.
Then He asked, Where are the nine? Are they to be found?
Only one Samaritan quickly ran with praise;
Gratitude to God that day could not be delayed.

3. This Jesus also promised his presence as we ask.
When He cures our ailings, will we too turn back?
When healing all our weakness because He keeps his word,
Do we kneel in meekness, gratitude conferred?

Chorus #2:
Are we not all lepers now as we walk this earth?
We all need our Saviors cures, even from our births.
Let us give Him holy thanks, kneeling quick to praise.
Gratitude in holy ways shows our love each day.
