Product Description

This is a solo piano arrangement of Roberta Flacks signature song, Killing Me Softly. Its a transcription of my spontaneous recording from the day I heard of her passing on February 24, 2025. I transcribed the song exactly as I performed it.

The arrangement features several jazz arranging techniques, such as chromatic passing chords. Generally speaking, it is a mix of classical, jazz, and New Age arranging styles.

This arrangement is perfect for classically trained pianists who want to play the song. It doesn't require fast fingers. However, there is a great deal of polyphony that requires some attention. I would categorize the difficulty level as intermediate.

It is also great for jazz and popular music pianists because the sheet music includes popular music chord symbols. This allows them to change the arrangement to their liking.

ENJOY!

I also added sustained pedal markings for less experienced pianists.
