Product Description

Auld Lang Syne is a poem/song by Scottish poet Robert Burns. The title is Scottish and can be translated as long ago or times gone by.
Burns claims he wrote the lyrics from the mouth of a Scottish man and arranged them in the manner of old Scottish ballads.
Traditionally the song is sung at the transition from the old year to the new, in Scotland Hogmanay.
The song is melancholic in nature and is also used as a farewell song on other occasions than New Year. The text refers to the memories of old times, which people think back on together while enjoying a good glass.
Pieter Bongaarts arranged 4 verses and choruses in different ways for SATB a cappella.
This is the version without piano!
