The Rivendell String Quartet Arrangements - The Pop Standards Series

The prolific song writing team of Burt Kalmar and Harry Ruby wrote this tune, originally titled Moonlight on the Meadow, for the Marx Brothers film A Night at the Opera (1935). The song was not used, and was reimagined in 1950 when Oscar Hammerstein II gave it a completely new lyric, A Kiss To Build a Dream On. It was prominently featured in the 1951 movie The Strip, and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Song, losing to In the Cool, Cool, Cool of the Evening by Hoagy Carmichael and Johnny Mercer.

It's a classic in the Great American Songbook, and a great selection for receptions and parties!
