Product Description

Originally named Prelude, Rêverie was a gift from Russian composer Alexander Scriabin to his patron and publisher, M.P. Belaïeff, while the composer was visiting in November 1898. When Scriabin was visited by his friends and fellow composer Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakov, he played this work on the piano, commenting that it was delightful and not badly orchestrated. It was rename to Rêverie and published. The piece was premiered on 5 December 1898 in Saint Petersburg.

This arrangement is for the UK-style brass band, with alternative parts for horns in F and bass-clef lower brass. A recording of the original composition can be found here on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPPE1MfY2Mw.
