Product Description

This piece was written by Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky in 1880 to celebrate the Russian army's defense against Napoleon in 1812. It became a popular American patriotic piece when it was used by Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops Orchestra to celebrate the United States of America's 200th birthday in 1976. This arrangement makes the piece more approachable for less experienced players. It includes simplified harmonies and optional note names and valve position numbers to assist in learning it. It can be played as either a duet or solo with just the Part 1 line.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
