Product Description

Hatikvah (The Hope) is the national anthem of Israel. The beautiful, bittersweet theme, composed by Samuel (Schmuel) Cohen in 1888 is based on a folk melody that he knew from Romania and even harkens to Smetana's theme from the Moldau of around the same vintage.

Jörg Richter's lovely arrangement (dedicated to Micha Davis, his students, colleagues and all trombonists in Israel) for 4 Trombones perfectly sets the mood for this stately and emotional anthem. All in bass clef and suitable for advanced intermediate performers.
