This lovely song (poem by Inazio Mujika) was written in 1988 in Basque languaje. Javier Busto: I
wrote this work to be sung by children. At that time, I used to write lots of music for children. The onomatopoeia «LAFA» inspired me. I tried to play with this word as being the noise that a dog makes when drinking water with its tongue. Spanish and English translation of the text is included for those who hardly recognize Basque language. Furthermore, a small introductory guide can be found in the score for a correct Basque pronunciation.
