Product Description

Based on the French noel tune, GLORIA, this hymn features the angels' chorus from Luke 2:14 for its refrain: "Gloria in Excelsis Deo" (Glory to God in the Highest). This is where the brass join in, calling forth praise like a bell carillon. For the final stanza, all instruments employ a French Baroque style appropriate to the presence of new born royalty. (This setting fits within that of LSB #368.)
